Public Statement of Creston Community School District
Effective leadership requires respect for the diverse opinions, beliefs, and affiliations that exist among our staff, students, and families-even when values or perspectives differ. Moments of disagreement or tension must be handled with care and professionalism; be used as an opportunity for the community to learn and grow. The District supports our educators who have been committed to building strong student-teacher relationships, creating elevated rigor and differentiation, boosting achievement in the classroom, and elevating strategies that have led to high state assessment scores. All of these achievements have benefited the district in ways that are hard to measure yet are extremely valuable to any school district.
The District is committed to modeling respectful leadership, supporting our educators, and maintaining a school environment where differences are celebrated and approached thoughtfully and constructively.
