Response to False and Misleading Information

The Creston Community School District is aware of false and misleading information circulating on social media about a student stabbing at the district. While the district did not initiate a lockdown, the elementary/middle school did announce a “hold in place” as emergency personnel responded to an adult medical situation. This protocol is designed to ensure the safety of students and staff while providing privacy and space for first responders.

Our staff and district work hard to provide a safe and secure learning environment and to communicate matters of concern to our parents and community. We encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact the district office directly for accurate information.
